Colourtec Services is a full service custom coating shop specializing in Powder Coating and Wet Paint finishing for architectural, appliance, and component markets.

Company History

Established in 1976 as Milburn Enamellers and with a name change in 1997 to Colourtec Services, we have grown to become a recognized leader within the custom coating industry. We offer both the capacity and expertise to handle your finishing requirements.

For over three decades our reputation has been built by offering quality and service at a fair price with our people who make the difference.

On every job we draw upon a wealth of knowledge and our coating production facilities to design the right solution for your finishing need, be it one off or a large production run.

We place emphasis on continuos improvement and quality control with accreditation to ISO 9001-2008. As a result we are confident that we can provide the best finishing solutions when it comes to choosing a custom finishing company.

Previous Work

At Colourtec we have spent over 30 years perfecting a process for virtually every coating need.

Previous work includes coating work on the ANZAC frigates in fire retardant powder coatings, Wet Paint PVF2 for architectural extrusion and panel on buildings like Te Papa the museum of New Zealand, and Class 1 metallic powder finishes for appliances and Hi Temperature coatings for the Heating industry.

We are also one of the pioneering companies putting powder coatings on engineered wood (MDF).

Current Plans and Future

Carbon Fibre

Colourtec Services is on the cutting edge of coating developments and are working with coating suppliers on areas including Heat Sensitive Substrates (HSS) like plastic and engineered wood. Another developmental area is Hi Temperature Powder Coatings for the solid fuel and gas heating industry.
